Departments

Interpreter Guide Department
The aim at this department is for students to become 'Interpreter Guides', people who introduce Japan's culture and the attraction of tourist spots using English or the native language of the foreigners visiting Japan. 3 Courses are available; Chinese, Korean and English.

A qualification that is an advantage in gaining employment
The department's aim is for its students to acquire the 'Licenced Guide' qualification, which is gaining attention in Japan as the number of foreign visitors is on the rise.
Travel Department
Starting with counter services, which involve suggesting travel plans, students will learn about all aspects of the travel industry. If national qualifications are obtained, then working in Japan as a 'Travel Professional' will no longer be just a dream.

Excellent practical classes
There are ample opportunities for practical learning such as 'Travel Experience' when students actually visit tourist spots and lessons at 'real travel agencies' within the school.
Food and Drink Services Department
A department where the students aim to become 'Professionals who know everything there is to know about food and drink' such as bartenders, sommeliers or food coordinators, all positions which are important in restaurants and hotels.

The teachers are professionals working in such places!
Students are taught by teachers who are professionals and have received numerous awards and who have worked in top level hotels. Therefore they learn practical skills that can be transferred to actual workplaces.
Hotels Department
Even globally, Japanese hotels provide top level service. In this department, students learn about professional customer care and the service mindset, with the aim of becoming 'hoteliers', who play an important role in the hotel industry, both in Japan and abroad.

Practical facilities: Facilities are excellent
All the facilities inside a hotel have been recreated within the school. Through their classes, students can gain high level skills as well as knowledge.
Bridal Business Department
The bridal business field has a culture unique to Japan. It is a popular department with foreign students aiming for one of a variety of jobs starting with wedding planners and dress stylists.

Real weddings are held on campus.
Each year, the student-produced wedding of a bride and groom selected from the public is held.
Cafe Services Department
There are 3 majors; patissier, barista and food coordinator. Professionals who play an active role in the industry are cultivated, with the keyword being 'Cafe', which provides relaxation time and space.

Acquisition of store management skills
At the campus festival, students run a store, doing everything from planning menus to dividing up roles and setting prices.
Tourism Services Department
This department aims to provide a wide range of knowledge and skills to enable a flexible response to the diversifying tourism service industry. This is done by allowing students to choose their classes, so they can create their own curriculums freely.

Open selection system
An open selection system has been adopted, which allows a choice of courses in order to gain qualifications in different fields.
Airline Services Department
Students learn the skills, manners and services necessary to get 'dream jobs' such as cabin attendant or member of ground staff or ground handling staff. These play major roles in airports and on aircraft.

The adoption of small class sizes
In order to be able to work in the popular airline industry, each student receives instruction in languages and etiquette.
Flower Services Department
Students are taught specialist skills starting with flower arrangement, that they can transfer to their future jobs as personnel in hotel florists and in the ikebana industry.

Teaching staff are industry representatives
The teaching staff are practicing professionals such as funeral florists and flower coordinators.

Food and Drink Services Department PARK YUMI(Korea)
March 2009 Graduated fromTLS Toyota Language School
April 2009 Enrolled in Tokyo Institute of Tourism
I had a service-based job in a Japanese restaurant in Korea and it was because of the large number of Japanese customers that I became interested in Japan. Then, when I looked on the Internet, I found the Tokyo Institute of Tourism. I actually tried out the trial ENROLLMENT and it seemed like a place where I could enjoy learning so I decided to enroll. Our classes involve events such as work experience at theme parks and ball game tournaments so I am enjoying the atmosphere in Japan, while making Japanese friends. I am going to study hard and build up my experience in a good workplace. In the future, I'd like to open my own shop.
Interpretor Guide Department IM JUNHO(Korea)
March 2009 Graduated from East West Japanese Language School
April 2009 Enrolled in Tokyo Institute of Tourism
I heard about this school from my teacher. I enrolled because the fact that the classes provided practical experience as well as knowledge appealed to me. Building up experience leads to greater personal knowledge, so I can now understand the enjoyment of taking various trips. It is a school about which I can say confidently that I made the right choice!
Working abroad is a once in a lifetime opportunity to better yourself. My dream is to become an interpreter guide and communicate the joy of travel to others.
